Bulls Slip Pass The Mavericks 127-124

DALLAS, Texas – The Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls were each looking for a bounce back victory tonight in the American Airlines Center, as both teams had home losses Wednesday night. The Bulls pulled away late to get the win, 127-124. Chicago (14-25) started the game off hot tonight, making its first eight field goals to go up 13 points. After that, it was a back and forth battle with eight lead changes and four ties.

The Bulls then came out strong again to start the fourth quarter with a 10-0 run, which Maverick’s head coach Rick Carlisle said was one of the main reasons they lost the game tonight. Leading the way for the Bulls was guard Kris Dunn. He led all scorers in the game with 32 points, which was also his career high. Dunn had 9 assists and 4 steals as well. Rookie forward Lauri Markkanen was also close to a double-double, as he finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

The only time these two teams have met this season was in a preseason matchup where the Mavericks beat the Bulls 118-71. The Mavericks (13-27) had won the last four regular-season meetings with the Bulls, sweeping them the past two seasons.

Chicago gets right back at it tomorrow night as they now head out to Indianapolis to face the Pacers (19-19).
