New Motto for Cowboys’ Linebackers is “Finish”

FRISCO, Texas – Weak-Side linebacker, Sean Lee, was back on the field with his teammates for Mandatory Mini-Camp, after coming back from his veteran off days during OTA’s. After his impressive run through of blocking sled drills, it is apparent he did not miss a beat during his time off. Lee hit with force against the sled, and then quickly shuffled with speed to attack his next opponent and break up the pass. He has a natural ability on the field and goes through drills effortlessly.

His presence was well known as he urged his teammates on chanting, “finish” as they performed their drills. He is always a big motivator on the sidelines for his teammates.

Lee discussed the focus and new theme for the linebacker squad ” the ability to lock in and be perfect on every drill when you are tired. That is something we have to be able to do. Making close calls and making sure everything is perfect is something we try to practice in every drill. Starting in the right spot and making sure you are finishing all the time. Coach Bloom is constantly preaching that. Something that as a defense, linebackers have to always be on point communication wise and always have to be on point detail wise. “

One thing that has made Lee the dominant force to the Cowboys’ defense and threat around the league, is his ability to always get near the football and his instincts at the line of scrimmage to disrupt the opposing offense. He never quits and his determination to “finish” each play and get to the football on a run or pass, is the reason No.50 is in the leadership position he is in as a captain for “America’s team.” Coach Bloom is sending the right vocal message to his linebackers that has served Lee well throughout his career!
