FRISCO, Texas – Dallas Cowboy receivers Allen Hurns, Michael Gallup, Deonte Thompson, Lance Lenoir, and quarterback Dak Prescott took a little vacation to Orlando Florida’s ESPN Wide World Of Sports for preparation before Training Camp. The boys went to work on building chemistry and gaining familiarity with one another in the middle of Walt Disney World Resort. What better place for dreams to come true? In the Cowboys case, that is for the passing game to evolve and strengthen the offense this season on the field with receivers in connection with Prescott.
Last season, Dez Bryant, Cole Beasley, and Terrance Williams could not find a rhythm with Prescott. The Cowboys had to rely on the running game with their star rusher, Ezekiel Elliott, out for six weeks fulfilling his suspension. There were overthrown passes and dropped assessable passes on key plays. In two consecutive games in weeks 11 and 12, the offense scored only 15 points. The Cowboys acquired several receivers to gain depth and help fix the passing game, along with a new receivers coach Sanjay Lal.
Hurns, Gallup, Thompson, and Lenoir are off to a good start by using this allotted break period before training Camp to bond with one another and find their chemistry with their QB. They are making an effort to earn a spot on the Cowboys 53 man roster. Lenoir posted a photo of the group to his Instagram account and stated “Ain’t no talkin, just work!” The competition created by the added depth at the position, has benefited the players to compete at the highest level and showcase their specific skillset.
