Wings Stunned By Mystics

ARLINGTON, Texas — Dallas was looking to break its 4 game loosing streak, but Washington had other plans in mind. Mystic’s guard Kristi Toliver hit a fade away shot with 1.4 seconds left to put her team on top, defeating the Wings 76-74 today in the College Park Center. Toliver finished with 16 points, with eight of those coming in the final two minutes.

Ariel Powers made her first return to Arlington since she was traded in late July. She helped her new team to a win, finishing with seven points. The Wings were playing without their 4-time All Star, Skylar Diggins, who sat out for the second consecutive game due to a face injury.

Liz Cambage and Kayla Thornton lead the Wings in scoring with 16 points each. Cambage also pulled down 14 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season.

The Wings only have two home games remaining, with the first coming this Wednesday night against the Connecticut Sun.
