SMU End 5 Game Losing Streak In Win Over UCONN

DALLAS, Texas — It was the traditional Red Out match up against the UConn Huskies where the Mustangs broke their losing streak 77-59 Thursday night. The Mustangs had a strong lead going into the second half which hasn’t happened since they played Wichita State back in January.

Jahmal McMurray led the Mustangs with 25 points with Eathan Chargois and Isiaha Mike right behind him with both racking up 14 points each. SMU ended their five-game losing streak while the Huskies continued theirs with this being their fourth straight loss.

SMU are 13-12 and 5-8 in the AAC. The Mustangs hit the road and take on the UCF Knights this Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.
