SMU Upsets Tulsa To Advance In AAC Tournament

CINNCINATI — No. 10 SMU defeated No. 7 Tulsa 74-65 in the first round of the AAC tournament. Jahmal McMurray was on fire last night shooting 50-percent from the field. McMurray also racked up four 3-pointers, five rebounds and five assists and a steal. The Mustangs are the third team to win as a 10 seed in the tournament’s history. 

Ethan Chargois added up 12 points, six rebounds and 2 assists while Sr. Jarrey Foster put up 10 points and eight rebounds. The Mustangs advance to the quarterfinals where they will face No. 2 Cincinnati today at 6 p.m. CT
