DALLAS, Texas — The SMU Mustangs defeated Northwestern State on Tuesday night 77-51. The Mustangs now improve to 8-0 on the season, the best start for the program since 2015-16.
The Demons on the other hand have still not won a road game, as they are now 2-5 overall. SMU had five players in double figures for the first time this season.
Isiaha Mike led all scorers with 16 points, going 6-for-11 from the field, while also pulling down 6 rebounds and getting 3 steals. He has scored 10+ points in every game this season and is averaging 15.9 ppg. Right behind him was CJ White with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. White also set a new career high with 11 of his points coming in the first half.
For Northwestern State, they did not have a single player finish in double figures, shooting just 33.9% from the field.
The Mustangs have a big home game this Saturday when they host Georgetown at 8:30 in Moody Coliseum.
