FRISCO, Texas — Dak Prescott banged up his right shoulder in the first half of the Rams game to pair with his index finger injury. He played through both in the week 15 game and Garrett stated on Wednesday that Dak “will be limited this week in practice, “ leading into Sunday’s division title game against Philadelphia. This will be the first time Dak has missed a practice throughout his four-year NFL career. I am told that Prescott will not throw any day this week and the team will evaluate his situation as the week comes to a close to see where he is at.
In the locker room, Zack Martin laughingly remarked “ I think today is the first time he has ever missed a walk-through or a practice, so it was a little weird but you know, Coop went in there and did a good job; commanded the huddle well so it was good for him to get in there and get a few reps…Knowing Dak, you’d have to kill him to keep him off the field.”
In addition, left tackle Tyron Smith has something wrong with his right eye. The eye is closed shut and he did not practice on Wednesday. Garrett addressed that Smith’s injury is “not football related.” The team will take his situation day-by-day.
