DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Mavericks beat the San Antonio Spurs 102-98 on Thursday night. The divisional win makes the Mavs 20-10 on the season, with 2 wins over the Spurs.
Point guard Luka Doncic returned to play after 4 games out with a right ankle sprain. He led the Mavs in scoring, with 24 points.
Offensively, Tim Hardaway Jr. also had a big night, scoring 17, with included 3 3-pointers. As a team, the Mavs scored 16 3’s, shooting 40% from behind the arc.
Defensively, head coach Rick Carlisle said he was happy with his teams performance on the boards, out rebounding the Spurs 52-45.
The Mavs next game is Saturday night at the Golden State Warriors.
