SMU Looks To Bounce Back Against Temple

DALLAS, TEXAS — SMU Men’s Basketball hosts the Temple Owls Saturday in Moody Coliseum.

Tim Jankovich’s squad come into tonight’s game off tough back to back loses on the road against Eastern Carolina and Houston. The Mustangs still sit at an impressive 12-4 record on the season and Jankovich said he was happy with his teams poise and effort at Houston.

SMU Guard, Kendrick Davis has come on strong as the season progresses, earning a spot on American Athletic Conference weekly honor role for the 2nd straight week. The sophomore has proven to be a focal point of the offense, leading his team with 19 points against Houston.

Temple comes to Dallas at 10-6 on the year and 2-3 in AAC play, but they’re a better team than their record would indicate. The Owls have several impressive wins, including #16 in the country, Wichita State on Jan. 15.

The recent conference loses that put the Mustangs at 2-2 in AAC play should have them fired up for tonight’s match up. The Owls come into the game with confidence from biggest win so far this season.

Tip off will be at 7 pm. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
