FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly signing cornerback Maurice Canady to a one-year deal per Mike Garafolo.
The Ravens selected Canady in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent the majority of his career with Baltimore from 2016-2019. Canady joined the Jets midway through the 2019 season and had three starts in 13 games between both teams. The 25-year-old has accumulated 80 combined tackles, 66 total tackles, six passes defensed, and one interception in 32 games played.
After losing Byron Jones in free agency, Canady will compete for a spot on Dallas’ depth chart during training camp.
In addition, the Cowboys released cornerback Donovan Olumba and defensive end Daniel Wise on Wednesday.
