FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys have signed Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, his agency announced. The strong safety will be added to the secondary in Dallas.
Clinton-Dix played for Mike McCarthy for four complete seasons in Green Bay before being traded during the 2018 season to the Washington Redskins. He played the remainder of the season with Washington before his stint with the Chicago Bears in 2019. Throughout his six-year career, the 27-year old totaled 522 combined tackles, 5.5 sacks, 33 passes defended, 16 interceptions, and a touchdown in 96 games played.
He signed a one-year deal worth $4 million with $2.5 million guaranteed per NFL Network’s Jane Slater.
The Cowboys’ former starting strong safety, Jeff Heath, signed with the Raiders and the club now has a veteran replacement to compliment free safety, Xavier Woods in the backfield.
