FRISCO, TEXAS — The NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame released its 2010 All-Decade Team and two offensive lineman represented the Dallas Cowboys on the premiere list: right guard Zack Martin and left tackle Tyron Smith.
The selections of the league’s biggest stars over the last 10 years were announced on Monday. Both first round picks, Martin and Smith, have anchored a productive offensive front for many seasons in Dallas.
The Cowboys selected Tyron Smith with the ninth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Throughout his nine-year career, Smith has been a seven-time Pro Bowl player, two-time First Team All-Pro, and two-time Second Team All-Pro. He has provided solid blind side protection and a clean pocket for both Tony Romo and Dak Prescott. He does a tremendous job staying in front of speed rushers and blocking in space.
Zack Martin has had an equally impressive career since the Cowboys picked him up with the 16th overall selection in the 2014 Draft. In each of his six seasons in the league, Martin has been named to the Pro Bowl (2014-2019) and either First Team All-Pro (2014, 2016, 2018, 2019) or Second Team All-Pro (2015, 2017). Martin is a hardworking leader that consistently uses his leverage to gain outstanding positioning against defenders.
Both play the game and prepare the right way- two stellar athletes extremely deserving of the honor.
