FRISCO, TEXAS — As the NFL has gradually begun the process of returning to normalcy amidst the pandemic with coaches being allowed back in facilities since last week, reports were released on Monday that many Dallas Cowboy and Houston Texan players have tested positive with the virus. Among the list is Cowboys’ featured back, Ezekiel Elliott.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Zeke tested positive last week and his agent, Rocky Arcenaux, confirmed the news in a conversation this morning.
It is unknown how many players on the Cowboys’ roster have tested positive with COVID-19 but No.21 has been named as one among the list. The news will likely raise question marks as to when the season and training camp should begin.
Players are still not allowed inside team facilities unless undergoing medical treatment. Employees have returned under each state’s strict guidelines including each team’s coaching staff, but new positive cases could derail the league’s return course to the gridiron.
