FRISCO, TEXAS — MLS season is back! Slowly things continue to pick up as the soccer league sets up for a comeback during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
With a new game plan, MLS will resume the season at the MLS is Back Tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida beginning July 8.
Although it is an uneasy time for the country as various political stances have been in the mix of the sports realm. One being the death of George Floyd in which MLS Commissioner Don Garber stated,
“We also recognize that the death of George Floyd and others has focused our country on issues of racial injustice, inequality and violence against black men and women. Together with our owners, players and staff, the League and its Clubs are deeply committed to creating meaningful and impactful programs to address these issues that have plagued our society for far too long.”
Meanwhile, FC Dallas is gearing up before they hit the road to Florida, with the addition of Franco Jara who has joined the club for a small group training after signing a pre contract agreement for the second transfer for the winter season. Jara, joined FC Dallas as a transfer from CF Pachuca, right after his contract had expired.
FC Dallas will make their way to the MLS is Back Tournament, into Group B with the Seattle Sounders, Vancouver Whitecaps and the San Jose Earthquakes.
