Update: Cowboys’ Strength and Conditioning Coach Markus Paul Rushed to Hospital, Undergoing Tests

FRISCO, Texas — Dallas Cowboys’ strength and conditioning coordinator Markus Paul was rushed to a nearby hospital in Frisco on Tuesday morning after suffering a medical emergency.

The 54-year-old is undergoing medical tests and additional information will be made available as the organization and family disclose more information at the appointed appropriate time.

“ The organization extends its prayers and support to the Paul family, and asks for friends and followers of Markus, his family, and the team to keep him in their thoughts and prayers, “ the Cowboys released in a statement.

Around 7:30 a.m. Paul was treated by Cowboys medical personnel and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Head coach Mike McCarthy informed the team in the pre-planned team meeting at 8:05 a.m., that practice would be cancelled.
