FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys made several transactions on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.
Rookie center Tyler Biadasz was taken off the Reserve/Injured list and could potentially start against the Bengals. Biadasz suffered a hamstring injury during pregame warm-ups against Pittsburgh and was placed on injured reserve Nov. 21. He had started the previous four straight games before the injury. Biadasz returned to practice this week and the team’s offensive line could be shuffled once again if Biadsaz were to return to the middle at center.
The Cowboys’ secondary continues to thin as both safety Donovan Wilson (groin) and cornerback Anthony Brown (ribs) were downgraded to out for Sunday’s week 14 matchup. Both did not make the trip to Cincinnati. Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after being considered high-risk, close-contact, a source told D210SPORTS. As a result, Dallas elevated cornerback Saivion Smith to the active roster as a replacement for Awuzie and elevated cornerback Chris Westry to the active roster. The club released center Adam Redmond to make room for Biadasz.
The projected starting cornerbacks on Sunday include Rashard Robinson, Saivion Smith, and Jourdan Lewis at nickel.
At safety, Darian Thompson will start alongside Xavier Woods in place of Wilson.
