ARLINGTON, TX — During this season of giving and receiving the Rangers have been in thirst for action but proposing it as a plan. The Ranger’s off-season has been nothing but major moves on pitchers, young athletes, and position coaches.
“Our winter additions are going to look to fit into the roster we are putting together and also fit into the development-minded culture we need to have,” Rangers President Jon Daniels stated.
They’ve recently acquired RHP Ryder Ryan through trade with the Mets. Ryan was drafted out of college as an infielder but later had his position changed to a pitcher.
Ryan was used as a relief pitcher for the Mets, and last pitched in the minor leagues due to the pandemic.
Ryan was 3-1 with a 3.05 ERA and a 1.26 whip, he also averaged 8.1 strikeouts and 4.7 walks.
Ryan is to have a strong arm with a fastball that reaches the mid 90’s range.
