FRISCO, TEXAS — With the first preseason match is quickly approaching us and the athletes are certainly feeling more prepared everyday. FC Dallas has been working so hard their practices have even ran over their scheduled times. But, that hasn’t stopped us at D210SPORTS from getting some interviews with Andres Ricaurte and Dante Sealy.
Andres is a midfielder from Medellin, Columbia will he remain as a midfielder or will he surprise us with a new position this season? Andres stated, ”Working with Coach Luchi this season has been great and I believe he sees me as a versatile player. They are staying creative with different plays and using me anywhere they can. I don’t mind it at all, I just want to be on the field and help my team as much as possible.”
Last season Andres recorded two assists in the year of 2020 and also scored his first MLS, along with making an appearance in the MLS Playoffs. His biggest wish is to be back in the playoffs again this year.
FC Dallas Forward Dante Sealy offseason helped him prepare for training camp. Sealy stated,”I’m not going to lie, the off season was hard due to covid because everything was on zoom, nothing was in person, which made it hard to train at times, but I believe I trained the best I could, working on dribbling and speed so I could be prepared for what’s to come. Now that I am back with my team and I see how we are gelling together, it’s an incredible sight to see.”
There are only two days remaining of training camp and we will be keeping a close eye on FC Dallas as they approach their first preseason match Saturday March 13th, at 11am CT.
