FRISCO, Texas — The start of the official FC Dallas season is coming up on April 17th, and needless to say this team has been showing out in preseason and we at D210SPORTS are here for it!
Preseason scrimmages have been nothing short of impressive so far, as coach Luchi has been prepping his guys to the best of their abilities. Today we spoke with second year midfielder Thiago Santos asking how his personal goals and hopes are playing out so far this season. Thiago, ”this year is completely different than last year. Last year we worked hard but this year, there is something different about us. We have a drive like no other to compete and be better everyday. Last year we obviously wanted to win as much as we could and to win the MLS Cup but it didn’t happen, but this year I can see us winning it all, we will make it happen.”
Thiago definitely has his confidence and hopes up for this team and truly thinks this year will be like no other. Along with his goals and hopes for this season we also asked Thiago what his comfort level is this year? Is he willing to switch positions and how has it been affecting him? He stated, “well before coach Luchi changes any positions or wants us to try something new he always asks us our comfortability with it. He explains how it will benefit us personally and the team. For the most part, me and the rest of the team are open to anything he wants to throw at us. I am a midfielder but I don’t mind being used in other parts of the field to help us win.”
