ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Rangers get swept in a 3 game series with 2 losses being a shut-out against the Padres 2-0 at home in Arlington, Texas.
Rangers just didn’t have an answer and now lost eight straight games combined against the Padres and failed to put points on the board.
The Padres hit two home runs to win the game 2-0 making the Rangers record drop down to 3-6. The Rangers were never out of the game, but they weren’t in it either. They were only down by one through five innings and had a chance to tie the game.
All bases were loaded in the eighth with the chance to score but Pagan proceeded to strike out Ronal Guzman on a 2-2 fastball. The Rangers were held to five hits, three walks, and two hit batters.
Rangers hit the road to Tampa Bay to open up a four-game series against the American League champion Rays on Monday.
