HOUSTON, Texas — Rangers were swept by Astros, in a four-game series extended their losing streak.
Sunday’s loss of 6-2 didn’t seem as bad. The Astros controlled the game and led in the first six innings, 2-0. The Rangers rallied together in the 7th to tie the game but those late comebacks are never for sure, the Astros got on top of them in the beginning and stayed the course.
All though the Rangers tied the game, the Astros didn’t seem to like that, they then went off for four points in the bottom of the 8th closing the game out in the top of the 9th, due to the rangers not being able to score.
“They have to keep their head up and let this sting a little bit,” Woodward said. “We’ve lost six in a row. I know everybody in that clubhouse was upset after the game. But I want that. I want them to be upset. That’s going to drive them a little bit.” Manager Chris Woodward said.
The Rangers are streaky and you never know what you’re going to get but you must remember the team is young and still in rebuilding mode.
Rangers have a chance to redeem themselves as they take on the 22-18 New York Yankees on Monday.
