My name is Araina Akins and I am from Little Rock, Arkansas. I recently graduated from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.
During my time at Southern I wrote for the sports section in the school newspaper paper, The Southern Digest. Growing up, my dad was a huge Cowboys fan which helped me develop my love for football.
When I was younger I played basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, tennis, softball, cheered and eventually fell in love with dance . Now that I have graduated , I plan to use this opportunity to work with the D210SPORTS team to develop my skills in writing and reporting.
I also plan to apply for Graduate school at Clark Atlanta University in Spring 2022 .
