Mavericks Trample Hornets 127-59

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Dallas Mavericks (3-0)  trampled the Charlotte Hornets (1-3) in Wednesday night’s preseason matchup beating them by 68 points in a 127-59 victory. 

Dallas fans are loving what they are seeing from this early Mavericks team. They are looking as sharp as ever on both sides of the ball. 

The Mavs defense looked steller tonight keeping the Hornets to 59 total points and 30 points at half time. 

Head Coach Jason Kidd put a big emphasis on defense for this season and the Mavs are showing nothing but improvement in that category. They came away with 12 steals and eight blocks tonight. They also outrebounded the Hornets 59-43 and they have successfully outrebounded every team in this preseason. 

Tonight was led by Kristaps Porzingis. He played an all around excellent game with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. 

The leading scorer for the Mavs tonight was Tim Hardaway Jr with 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. 

It was a team effort on offense tonight for the Mavericks. They had six players score in double-figures tonight and they had 29 assists as a team. 

The Mavs shot 51 percent from the floor tonight, 39 percent from the three-point line and had 42 points in the paint. 

Dallas will play their final preseason game this Friday night against Milwaukee Buck at 7 p.m.
