Lauren Cottrell was born and raised in the Midwest. From playing every sport as a kid to swimming competitively for 8 years, Lauren soon found an interest in sports. At a young age, her family relocated to Frisco, Texas where Lauren formed a love for broadcast after watching football and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys with her dad on the weekends.
Lauren is graduating from Texas Christian University in December 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Journalism and a Minor in Spanish. Throughout her time in college, Lauren has encountered many experiences in the sports broadcast industry.
She began her career as a reporter for TCU Football. Over the past year, she interned with Texas Sprint Series as their announcer and reporter. More recently, Lauren became a freelance sports reporter with the Dallas Morning News covering high school football and co-hosts a TCU Football podcast with the Bleav Podcast Network.
