Dallas, Texas — No Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis or Tim Hardaway Jr., the Dallas Mavericks’ role players rose to the moment as Dallas beat the Timberwolves 114-107 win.
Jalen Brunson had a game-high 28 points to go along with 6 assists, 3 steals and 1 block in the win.
“They played amazing. They gave us energy. They played hard, especially for not knowing what we were doing. With a day’s notice, or even less than that, props to them. That is the type of stuff that makes you a true professional to come in, not know what you are doing, but to just play as hard as you can and hope for the best. They played great and we applaud them for it,” said Brunson on how the new guys played given the circumstances.
Dorian Finney-Smith had 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals for the Mavs.
Karl-Anthony Towns led Minnesota with 26 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists.
