TCU vs Kansas State Preview

MANHATTAN, KS – TCU (10-2) is looking to bounce back after a seven game win streak came to an end on Saturday after falling short to the Baylor Bears (15-0) 76-64. 

TCU put up a fight on Saturday to start off conference play and it was led by Mike Miles. Miles led the Horned Frogs with 26 points, one rebound, and five assists. TCU led going into the half but they players told us post game that fatigue set in and they couldn’t finish the game how they started. 

The Frogs gave up six three-pointers to Adam Flagler in the second half which led to a 12 point loss for TCU. 

The Wildcats are coming into this game looking for a win after losing their last three games, all of which have been conference matchups. Kansas State has lost to Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia and are 0-3 in conference play. 

Their latest matchup was a three point loss to West Virginia, 71-69. Kansas State was up 40-27 going into the half but led up in the second getting outscored 44-28 by the mountaineers. Sean McNeil scored 19 of his 26 points in the second to lead West Virginia to a victory.  

Kansas State was without their head coach Bruce Weber and two assistants along with two players, Kaosi Ezeagu and Logan Landers due to COVID-19. 

Nijel Pack led the Wildcats with 20 points and five rebounds. Mark Smith added 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. 

TCU has only lost one conference game thus far and doesn’t plan on losing anymore. 

These two teams will go head to head in Bramlage Coliseum tonight at 8:00 PM.
