Mavericks Beat The Magic 108-92

Dallas, TX — The Dallas Mavericks (24-19) beat the Orlando Magic (8-36) 108-92 Saturday night at the American Airline Center in Dallas, Texas.

The Mavs welcomes back Forward Kristaps Porzingis after missing the last seven games due to health and safety protocol. Head coach Jason Kidd also entered health and safety protocol on Jan 7th and was reunited with the team in Friday’s win against the grizzlies.

Porzingis scored the first bucket in tonight’s game, quickly following an impressive alley-oop dunk with the assistance of Jalen Brunson. Brunson, Doncic, and Porzingis lead the first quarter in points scoring 29 out of the 32 to give the Mavericks a nine-point lead.

At the end of the first half, the Mavs had three players who have scored double-digits leading over Orlando 55-43. Dallas shooting at only 46.3 percent from the field at the half restricted their ability to outscore their opponent even more. Cole Anthony led Orlando with 10 points, three assists, and two rebounds in 18 minutes of play at the half.

Dallas offense was productive with quick ball movement as they were in Friday night’s win over Memphis. Dorian Finney-Smith assisted the Mavs on defense with 4 rebounds in the 23 minutes he played. Jalen Brunson With six minutes left in the game,Marquees Chriss, who signed a 2 year deal with the Mavs earlier today, checked into the game and scored 2 points. Mavs win 108-92.

Luca Doncic led the Mavericks with 23 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in tonight’s win, extending his 2021-22 season record to 18 double-doubles. The Mavs will be back here at the American airline center on Monday to take on 14-28 Oklahoma City Thunder.
