I am a graduate from Samford University of the Howard College of Arts and Sciences. I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication, with a concentration in broadcasting and public relations and a minor in sports media.
Throughout my four years at Samford University, I was a full time student athlete while also pursuing a career in sports media with four internships (Samford Football (2), Birmingham Barons and Fox Sports Detroit).
At the age of 15, I knew I wanted to become a sports reporter. My father played 16 years as a relief pitcher in the Major Leagues for eight teams. I grew up around the camera, lights and fields. I have always felt “at home” at a stadium.
After graduating, I moved to Nashville to work for the Nashville Sounds (AAA of the Texas Rangers) and the Nashville Sports Council. During COVID, I created my own sports podcast page, “Going Pro”. My co-host and I interviewed professional athletes (retired athletes and collegiate athletes), professional coaches, and on-air talents on their journey to “going pro”. While sports were on pause, I continued to work in the social media and marketing realm. I began shadowing the Bally Sports South team, focusing on the Atlanta Braves during their World Championship run.
I recently have moved to Dallas, Texas to start my position with Bally Sports Southwest as a freelancer for social media and on-air talent for the Dallas Mavericks. I look forward to pursuing my passion in becoming a sideline reporter and media relations.
