Mavs Four Game Win Streak Comes To An End After Losing To Suns, 109-101

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (26-20) four game win streak comes to an end at American Airlines Center tonight after falling short to the Phoenix Suns (35-9) 109-101.

The first quarter was back and forth for both teams. The Mavs were struggling with their three-point shooting as they have been all year. They shot under 30 percent in the first quarter which is par for the course for this season.

Mavs led at the end of the first quarter 26-22.

Phoenix went on a 10-2 run to start off the second quarter taking a 32-18 lead. Mavs then answered with a 14-2 run to take the lead going into the half.

Luka Doncic had a steal with two seconds left in the half and hit a buzzer beater three-pointer to go into the locker room up 53-45.

Doncic had 19 points going into the half.

Phoenix came back midway through the third quarter, taking a 70-69 lead. They ended up tying in the third quarter 29-29. Dallas went into the fourth quarter up 82-74.

The Suns were shooting horribly from beyond the arc at just 17 percent midway through the third quarter.

Both teams were playing very well in the fourth, they were tied at 99-99 with three minutes left in the fourth and Phoenix started to pull away creating a five point lead with one minute left in the game.

The suns let 104-99 with 48 seconds left in the game. Devon Booker was called for the foul and sent Dallas to the line. The call was referenced and it became an offensive foul on Dorian Finney-Smith. Phoenix got that ball back and dribbled it out.

The Mavs will finish off this five game home stand this Sunday. They will welcome the Grizzlies here in American Airlines Center and tip off is set for 6:30 P.M.

Dallas lost 109-101.
