TCU Face No. 19 LSU Today

FORT WORTH, TX – The TCU Horned Frogs (13-4, 3-3) are back in Fort Worth on Saturday to take on No. 19 LSU (16-4, 4-4). Tip off is early in Fort Worth, the game will begin at 11 AM.

The Frogs are going to try and redeem themselves from a very poor performance on Tuesday night to Texas. TCU lost their way midway through the first half and couldn’t climb back from their 20-point deficit.

The Frogs are one of the best rebounding teams in the nation sitting at third nationally and at No. 1 in the Big 12. They are 12-2 when they win the rebound game, the Frogs have been playing stellar basketball and have a great record to show for it. But the game against Texas was ugly all across the board. They got outrebounded, outshot, and outworked.

The Longhorns outrebounded 41-31, and outshot them 44 percent to 12 percent from beyond that arc to take a blowout 73-50 win.

Mike Miles was not happy with his performance or the team’s overall performance. He stated after the game in the press conference, “It’s just embarrassing, there’s nothing more to say about it.”

Miles is one of the best, if not the best, point guards in College basketball. He led the Frogs on Tuesday night with 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Hopefully TCU learned the hard way against Texas and they can come out and play an overall better game against LSU.

With that being said, LSU just snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday after beating Texas A&M 70-64. They won this game without two of their starters Xavier Pinson and Darius Days. Whether or not these two will suit up for the game against TCU is unclear at this time.

These two teams have not played each other since 1986 and LSU holds the series at 3-1.

These two teams will face off at 11 AM on Saturday, January 29 and it will be televised on ESPN3.
