Doncic Drops 33 Points As Dallas Defeats Philadelphia 107-98

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (30-23) bounce back after two back to back losses defeating the Philadelphia 76’ers (31-21) 107-98. 

Dallas had a slow start of this game coming up short to the 76’ers in the first quarter 33-24. The Mavs couldn’t get many shots to fall, shooting just 27 percent from the floor in the first 12 minutes. 

Philadelphia played harder in the first quarter, Dallas was a second behind every one of their plays and they had some careless turnovers. 

The 76’ers continued to build their lead as they entered the second quarter going on a 7-0 run building their lead to 40-26. 

Mavs start to heat things up with four minutes left in the second quarter and it was led by Jalin Brunson. He was the second highest scorer tonight with 

The 76’ers still managed to outscore Dallas 30-29 in the second quarter to take a 10 point lead going into the half, 63-53. 

Mavs were out rebounded in the first half  21-17 and also got out shot. Dallas shot 41 percent from the floor while Philadelphia shot 55 percent. 

The Mavs dominated in the second half from start to finish outscoring the 76’ers 32-15 to take a 85-78 lead going into the fourth quarter. Dallas finished off the quarter strong going on a 6-0 run. The Mavs defense took control and didn’t allow Philadelphia to score in the last 2.5 minutes of play in the third quarter. 

The fourth quarter started and ended how the third did. Dallas finished strong, outscoring the 76’ers 20-22 and out rebounded Philadelphia 40-32 to secure a 107-98 win. 

Luka Doncic had another triple-double tonight with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 15 assists. Reggie Bullock added 20 points and four rebounds. Jalen Brunson added 19 points, five rebounds, and four assists. 

Mavs will stay at home and host the Hawks on Sunday at 5 PM.
