TCU vs Kansas State Preview

FORT WORTH, TX – The TCU Horned Frogs (15-4, 4-3) are back in Fort Worth after back-to- back wins to take on Kansas State (11-10, 3-4) at Schollmaier Arena at 7:00 PM. 

Both teams have played each other before in Kansas State. TCU won that game 60-57 and hold a 1-0 against the Wildcats this season. 

The Horned Frogs are coming off a win over Oklahoma 72-63 this past Monday night. TCU led by one point at half time and used the entire second half to build a lead and come out with a win. 

TCU shot 52 percent from the floor and 29 percent from beyond the arc. Damion Bough led with 20 points, eight rebounds, and one assist. 

Kansas State just snapped a three-game losing streak after beating Oklahoma State 71-68 on Wednesday night. Nijel Pack hit a game winning three-pointer to avoid the Wildcats going on a four-game losing streak. 

Both teams are very defensive teams and have similar style of play. Defensively, TCU is holding their opponents to 61 points and 40 percent shooting. 

Kansas State is holding their opponents to 63 points per game and 41 percent shooting. So this game will be a defensive battle the entire 40 minutes. 

This season TCU is led by Mike Miles, he is currently averaging 15.4 points per game, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. Damion Bough is right behind him averaging 10.1 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. 

TCU is having a really good season this year and they have hopes to make it to the NCAA tournament this season. This win will be a good start in knocking down some of these harder teams come mid February.
