WACO, TX – TCU (16-7, 5-6) are trying to avoid losing their third game in a row to No. 7 Baylor (21-5, 9-4) on Saturday morning in Waco.

TCU is coming off back-to-back losses to Iowa State and Texas Tech. The Horned Frogs have yet to lose two straight games this season until this week. TCU is getting into some tough conference play for the remainder of the season and their run for tournament play determines how well they do against these teams through the remainder of February.

“I have high hopes for this team and they are not meeting them right now.” Head Coach Jamie Dixon told the media after their second straight loss to Iowa State on Tuesday.

The Horned Frogs came up short to Iowa State on Tuesday night 54-51and the biggest reason was their three-point shooting, They shot 3-of-18 and just 16 percent from beyond the arc.

They haven’t been a good shooting team the entire season, which is why they capitalize on other aspects, just as defense and rebounding. TCU is still no. 4 in the nation for rebounding and they did out rebound Iowa State 38-30 but they gave up a lot of easy baskets in the paint giving Iowa State the win.

Baylor is feeling a little on edge after being beat by the underdog No. 11 Texas Tech  83-73 on Wednesday Night. Baylor got out hustled and out rebounded by Texas Tech which resulted in them losing.

TCU’s Emmanuel Miller told the media post game that how the frogs bounce back on Saturday will be the true test of how gritty they are this season.

“ I think our best test is right now. We’ve shown to this point that we can handle adversity, but this is the biggest test we’ve seen.”

Tip off in the Ferrell Center will be early Saturday morning at 11 AM.
