FORT WORTH, TX – TCU (16-8, 5-7) is back at home against West Virginia (14-12, 3-10) on Monday night. This is a rescheduled game that originally was supposed to take place in January but was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within TCU’s program. Tip off is set for 7:00 PM in Schollmaier Arena.
TCU has had a struggling couple of weeks losing three straight, two of which were top 25 teams. The Frogs are looking to finish out the season on a good note in hopes for a tournament appearance in March and this game is a must win for TCU.
The Mountaineers have struggled this entire season in conference play. They are 3-10 in the Big12 and have lost six of their last 10 games to top 25 teams.
One of the things that TCU has over West Virginia is their ability to grab boards. The Mountaineers have struggled getting rebounds all year and that’s something that TCU is very good at. They are ranked fourth in the country in rebounding and that is something they capitalize on every game due to the fact that they are not a very good shooting team from beyond the arc. TCU grabs 9.5 rebounds more than their opponent and that’s currently the best in the Big 12.
Emmanuel Miller has been leading the way for the Frogs lately, he had 16 in their last match up.
West Virginia is led by Taz Sherman, he had 23 points and three rebounds in their last matchup to Kansas State.
TCU has a tough schedule for the remainder of conference play before heading into the Big 12 tournament. Three of their next six games are against top 25 teams that are also looking to get a good seed in the tournament. TCU is going to have to give it their all for the remainder of these games and it starts tomorrow.
