TCU Looks For Second Straight Win Against Kansas

FORT WORTH, TX – TCU (18-9, 7-8) is trying to finish out the end of their season with a bang against Big 12 Conference leader Kansas (23-5, 12-3) tonight in Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth.

It was a crazy weekend in the NCAA as seven of the top 10 teams lost to their underdog opponents, and TCU bit off a piece of the action. The Frogs defeated No. 9 Texas Tech on Saturday night in Fort Worth and it was a dog fight the entire game.

TCU had some turnovers and wasn’t making many shots at the line but TCU hustled more and played better defense, forcing Tech to give up 20 turnovers.

Mike Miles led the Frogs with 26 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Coach Dixon and his team are in the running for a tournament spot if they beat one of the three teams that remained on their schedule.

Jamie Dixon and Co. haven’t made an appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2016. With that win on Saturday it’s looking like they have a great chance in making it this year. Beating a team like Kansas would solidify a tournament spot no doubt.

Kansas is currently on top of the Big 12 Conference standing at 23-5 and coming off a loss to Baylor 80-70 on Saturday night. Kansas has been consistent all year, they have yet to lose back-to-back games and they were on a four game winning streak before it was snapped to Baylor.

Ochai Agbaji led the Jay Hawks with 27 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

These two teams will go head to head tonight at 7 PM.
