Who Will Get Home Court Advantage For Seeds Four and Five In The NBA Playoffs?

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (45-29) are hosting the Utah Jazz (45-29) in American Airlines Center on Sunday night. Tip off is set for 6:30 PM CST.

This is a very important game for Dallas as this could be the game that decides who has home court advantage in the playoffs for the 4-5 seed. What better than to win tonight at home and secure the home court advantage spot.

If the trend follows the Mavs are looking good for winning this game as all the home team has won in this series every game since the start of the season.

This game will come down to defense, which is funny because both teams are currently ranked eighth in the NBA in defensive ratings. The Mavs give up around 108 points per game while the Jazz give up 115.

What will help Dallas tonight is the Jazz are out significant players due to injury so their offense isn’t as stacked as it usually is. Utah is without Hassan Whiteside (foot), Danuel House Jr (knee), and Bojan Bogdanovic (calf) for tonight’s contest.

Dallas is coming off a loss to the Timberwolves on Friday night. The reasoning behind that is production on offense. With the exception of Luka Doncic, who put up 24 points, the rest of the Mavs went 9-of-31 from beyond the arc.

We have seen this before, when Doncic is the only one performing it almost always leads Dallas to a loss.

This game will most likely go down to the wire as Dallas is only favored by 2.5 points. Don’t miss any of the action tonight. You can tune in to Bally Sports Southwest at 6:30 PM. Dallas was supposed to be playing on NBAtv but the game got bumped.
