Dallas Mavericks Vs Los Angeles Lakers Preview

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (46-29) secured the fourth seed in the NBA Playoffs after defeating the Utah Jazz (45-30)  on Sunday night in Dallas. The Mavs will host LeBron James and the Lakers (31-43) on Tuesday night. Tip off is set for 6:30 PM.

Yes, the Lakers have not done well this season sitting at 10th in the Western Conference but Dallas can not sleep on LeBron James. He is playing some of his best basketball as of late and Dallas needs can not get comfortable after securing the fourth seed.

Despite L.A. being on an end of the season slump losing six of their last eight games James led in their last game against the Pelicans with 39 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Malik Monk added 23 points, and Russell Westbrook added 18 points.

This Lakers team is fully stocked with great players, they just haven’t been able to find chemistry. Dallas has some very good players as well but if they lean on Luka Doncic and let him do all the work it could be a closer game than one would expect.

Doncic finished Sunday night with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. Luka, as well as LeBron, has done wonders this season on offense. As of March 27 Luka has 22 30-point games this season. With that at the young age of 23 years old Doncic has more 30-point triple doubles than Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, Michael Jordan, Nikola Jokic, and Kevin Durant.

The Mavericks are on a roll finishing out the season winning 11 of their last 15 games. Dallas is looking to finish out the season hot after defeating Utah 114-100 on Sunday night. The Mavs shot 51 percent from the floor and made a whopping 17 three-pointers as they rallied in the second quarter scoring 37 points to take the lead and they remained in the lead the remainder of regulation.

The Mavs and the Lakers will go head to head on Tuesday night at 6:30 PM in American Airlines Center and will be aired on Bally Sports SW.
