DETROIT, MI – The Dallas Mavericks (49-30) are looking for the 50th win of the season, something Dallas hasn’t done since the 2014-15 season. It’s a huge milestone for the Mavs and they are ready to do it in Detroit on Wednesday night against the Pistons (23-56).
Dallas has been going back and forth with Golden State for the third seed in the West for the NBA Playoffs. The Mavs can only control what they can control and what they need to do for the rest of the season is win the remaining games they have and hope that Golden State loses.
Detroit on the other hand is completely out of the playoffs sitting at 23 wins on the season. With that being said, Cade Cunningham and the Pistons are taking that to heart. With nothing to play for, Detroit has won their last three games and Saddiq Bey is coming off a 31-point game against the Pacers.
Dallas has won four of their last five games. Luka Doncic is racking up the 30-point games late this season and if he continues to play like this the Mavs could go far in the playoffs seeing that there are a lot of athletes that will not be playing due to injury in this year’s playoffs.
The Pistons and the Mavs will be playing at 6 PM on Bally Sports SW.
