LOS ANGELES, CA- The Dallas Wings headed west to Los Angeles on Monday in preparation for Tuesday night’s game against the 4-6 Sparks.
Dallas has been recovering from their shattered three-game winning streak after Thursday’s 99- 68 loss to Connecticut Sun where both Satou Sabally and Arike Ogunbowale lead the team in a combined 34 points. Wings starters Kayla Thornton, Isabella Harrison, and Marina Mabrey finished with just 4 points each in Thursday’s loss, which was detrimental to the team.
Los Angeles is coming off of Sundays nail biter win against the Minnesota Lynx 85-83 where guard Chennedy Carter totaled 20 points and 6 rebounds for the Sparks. The last time these two teams met was on September 19, 2021, when Dallas guard Arike Ogunbowale and Marina Mabrey totaled for 36 points, leaving the Sparks heading back to Los Angeles with an 87-84 loss.
Tuesday night’s matchup is another Commissioner’s Cup contest. Dallas will be playing for “This Is Project Texas,” A statewide nonprofit organization that provides and advances voter education and access, empower community engagements, and promotes the general welfare of all current and future Texas residents.
Tuesday night showdown will be played at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles. Gametime is at 9:30 P.M CT and will be broadcasted on ESPN3.
