The Winning Streak Continues For FC Dallas, This Time Against LA Galaxy

(FRISCO, TX) — FC Dallas is halfway into the 2022 regular season and the North Texas team has been making strides coming up in the 4th ranking in the Western Conference: a huge leap from their 11th place standing in 2021. The match against FC Dallas and LA Galaxy provided a huge line up as LAFC currently is the number one ranked team who holds the record for most MLS cup titles won.

Heading into the match, Galaxy’s heavy hitter Chicharito attempts a header from the center of the box and misses, assisted by midfielder Rayan Raveloson. With just 9 minutes into the game, forward Franco Jara scores a right footed shot from the left assisted by Farfan, starting off this match with a 1 to 0.

Within the first quarter a back and forth of gained free kicks by Velasco went back-to-back with assists, more prominently assisting to Jesús Ferreira who has been an important asset throughout the season. By minute 23, Ferreira with an assist by Velasco attempted a close right footed shot from the left side. All in just a close 20-minute span from the attempted shot, Ferreira attempted yet another shot assisted with a header form Pomykal.

Dallas with the lead was pushing a defensive game especially by Argentine forward, Jara who was determined but not without a series of fouls until the forward was fouled out; Leaving LA’s Chicharito to attempt a shot assisted by Brugman. With Jara back on the field, he manages to take the free kick from Zavaleta’s foul.

The odds for the match all came down to FC Dallas’s ability to take advantage of the filed defensively especially with Ferreira, who has led with 12 goals and 5 assists in the season. Heading into the 2nd quarter, the attacker Paul Arriola shoots for a left footed attempt and barely misses.

The last 30 minutes dictated this match, especially for LA as they fought off a foul ending with Araujo leaving the filed. By minute 61, Ferreira attempted a through ball, but Arriola was caught offside. Towards minute 80, LA’s leading attacker Joveljic right footed blocked shot by Paes. Leading to FC Dallas taking in the victory of winning the home game with a final score 1 to 0. Up next FC Dallas will face off against the Seattle Sounders.
