FORT WORTH, Tx — TCU has proved many people wrong so far this season with their 6-0 record, but they will be battle tested yet again as they take on Kansas State. First place in the Big 12 is at stake with this matchup and both teams so far have been dominant. Let’s dive into this matchup.
This TCU defense needs to stop the running game for Kansas State. The Wildcats typically use their run game to control the momentum of the game but after watching film on TCU I think it is obvious where they struggle defensively and thy need to throw the ball on TCU. Kansas State quarterback Adrian Martinez has rushed for over 500 yards this season while scoring 9 rushing touchdowns. If Kansas State sticks with their run game TCU will force a lot of 3 and outs but if they change it up this could be a tough defensive matchup for the horned frogs.
TCU’s offense they should be in decent shape Max Duggan has proved time and time again that he deserves to be the starter. He has completed 70 percent of his throws with only giving up one interception. Not only can he throw the ball he can run all over defenses as he has rushed for over 200 yards.
With star wide receiver Quintin Johnston and running back Kendre Miller this offense is a force to be reckon with. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
