FORT WORTH, Texas — It’s another big matchup this weekend for the TCU Horned Frogs as they take on in-state rival Texas Tech. Texas Tech has nothing to lose but for TCU they have everything to lose. TCU is trying to win out in order to prove to the College Football Playoff Committee that they deserve a playoff spot.
Although Tech on paper has a mediocre record (4-4) they have one pretty big win over Texas. This team knows how to win rival games which could lead TCU to some trouble. The Red Raiders have won every one of their games this season at home and not on the road which could also lead in TCU’s favor.
Head Coach Sonny Dykes has led TCU to an 8-0 record so far this season but if they want to clinch a spot they have to beat Texas Tech by quite a bit it can’t be a close game. Max Duggan has led this offense to a lot of success with completing 67.4 percent of his passes for 22 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions. Pretty impressive for a quarterback who came into this season as a backup. As long as TCU possesses the ball and doesnt turn it over this could be a beat down for the Red Raiders.
