DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Mavericks have had a great streak of wins in the past week. The mavs are going on a seven game hot streak and are preparing to make their eighth win in a row against the Boston Celtics Thursday night.
In just a little over a week, Luka Doncic made his historic game debut where he scored 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists. On Monday night Doncic was named player of the month. He is also in the top 5 race to be named MVP. Can Luka and this dynamic team keep their gears going towards more wins? With the Celtics being 26-12 this could potentially be a battle til the very end for the two teams.
However, the Celtics are coming into this game after falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 150-117. They struggled on both ends of the court, as they were blown out in that game. They will have to be better on the defensive end of the court if they want to challenge the Mavs on the road.
On the other hand, the Mavs are now 22-16 after defeating the Houston Rockets, 111-106. They looked great on the defensive end of the floor, as they only allowed Houston to shoot 31% from behind the 3 point line. They will have to stay up on defense if they want to keep taking care of business.
Injury Report: JaVale McGee C (Illness) is questionable. Josh Green SG (Elbow), Dorian Finney-Smith SF (Hip), and Maxi Kleber PF (Hamstring) are listed as out.
