SMU Comes Up Short Against Tulane

DALLAS, TEXAS – With a rocky start, and what seemed to be a hopeful ending for the Mustangs, SMU took a loss to Tulane 97-88. The Mustangs are now 6-11 and are tied for 7th in the American Athletic Conference

.Jaylen Forbes led Tulane with 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. SMU shooting guard Stefan Todorovic finished with a career high of 27 points, with 10 rebounds, and two steals for the Mustangs. Efe Odigie also added 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Following the game Todorovic stated that, ”Even though we lost, we played more like a team and that’s the biggest difference between tonight and previous games.”

The Mustangs will be back at home Saturday night in hopes to pull off a win against Cincinnati. Tip off is at 3pm CT.
