ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Arlington Renegades are coming off of a win to the San Antonio Brahmas. It was indeed a close game, the Renegades winning by 2 points, making that final score 12-10. The Brahmas were trying to make a comeback in the 4th quarter in hopes to score before the clock hit zero but cornerback Shakur Brown secured an interception closing the deal for a win for Arlington.
This week will be week six for the XFL season and the Renegades have a busy week, not only playing back to back games against the Brahmas on Sunday but preparing to play again the following Friday.
Arlington head coach Bob Stoops says, “this week we need to try and figure out more things that work for us offensively.” The Renegades still don’t have a direct starting quarterback. The common pattern coach has felt has worked best is choosing the starting QB week by week. Last week Kyle Slotter was the starter but Stoops states, “we just try and have them compete for their spot. Nothing is ever set in stone.”
