FRISCO, TX – The Dallas Cowboys had a busy final day in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Cowboys had five picks on the final day. The Cowboys have made their final picks for the draft and here and here are all of them :
Round 1 pick 26 : Mazi Smith DT Michigan
Round 2 pick 58 : Luke Schoonmaker TE Michigan
Round 3 pick 90 : DeMarvion Overshown LB Texas
Round 4 pick 129 : Viliami Fehoko DE San Jose State

Round 4 pick 129 : Viliami Fehoko DE San Jose State University
Fehoko is 6’3 276 lbs. He played five years at the University because he took the extra covid year. He had nine tackles and 19 tackles for loss last year. Jerry Jones wants him to be 50/50 split between an Edge and a DT here in Dallas.

Round 5 pick 169 : Asim Richards OT North Carolina
Richards is 6’4 309 lbs. People would consider him a finesse blocker with good athletic ability to occupy defenders in the run game and can help speed rushers in the passing game.
SI Draft Bible says, “Richards displays good athletic ability and quick feet to get out in space. He can cover a lot of ground as he is agile and a smooth runner. He flashes by generating power at the point of attack with a quick first step.
Round 6 pick 178 : Eric Scott Jr. CB Southern Miss
Scott Jr. is 6’2 202 lbs. He played at a junior college before playing at Southern Miss for two seasons. In 2020 he Appeared in nine games and made five starts … Compiled 31 tackles (18 solos) with an interception with a 20-yard return against South Alabama (9/3) … Tallied five pass breakups … Notched career-high eight stops against Louisiana Tech (9/19) and seven versus Tulane (9/26) … Had four or more tackles in six games.
In 2021 he Played in all 12 games with 11 starts … Recorded 20 tackles, notching at least one stop in every game … Tallied season-high three stops against both Troy (9/18) and UTEP (10/9) … Posted two interceptions, coming at both Middle Tennessee (10/30) and UTSA (11/13) … Collected two fumble recoveries one versus Middle Tennessee and one against FIU (11/27) … Named to Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 semester.
Round 6 pick 212 : Deuce Vaughn RB Kansas State
Vaughn is 5’6 and 176 lbs. Vaughn is the son of Chris Vaughn who is the assistant director of college scouting for the Dallas Cowboys. Vaughn was in the draft room when they decided to draft his son Deuce.
“I have never had an experience like that in the draft room.” Jerry Jones told us in the post draf press conference.
“He deserved to be drafted.” Jones said.
“I appreciate them doing that,” Chris said. “Not that I think that would be an issue, but we just took that part of the scenario out.”

Round 7 pick 244 : Jalen Brooks WR Fresno State
Jalen Brooks is 6’2 205 lbs. He played three years in Columbia, originally joined the program in the fall of 2020. He played in 24 games at the Division I level, making 22 starts… logged 58 career catches for 785 yards and two scores for the Garnet & Black… began his career at Division II Wingate in North Carolina and also had a brief stint at Tarleton State in Texas… caught 52 passes for 1,048 yards and 10 TDs in two seasons at Wingate… received an NFL Combine invitation.
In his super senior season at South Carolina he started all 12 regular season games at wide receiver. He ranked second on the team in both receptions (33) and receiving yards (504), both of which were career high. He recorded his best game at the D-I level with 88 receiving yards on four catches in the season-opening win over Georgia State.
