Dallas Wings Beat Mercury, 90-77

ARLINGTON, TX- The Dallas Wings have secured two straight wins against the Phoenix Mercury and defeated them

Arike Ogunbowale paved the way for the Wings with 35 points, 1 rebound, and 5 assist. Her 13th 30-point game in her career.

Head Coach Latricia Trammell said that Arike was unbelievable on defense tonight but it’s credit to the work she puts in off the court.

“She watches a lot of film,” said Coach Trammell. “She wants to enhance her skillset and try to create for her teammates as well. She is in a different mindset now.”

Coming into this game the Dallas Wings knew that the Phoenix Mercury would come out aggressive and physical, holding the Wings to only 25% from the field. The Phoenix squad honed in on defending Satou Sabally keeping her to zero points in the first quarter.

In the second half the Dallas Wings trailed until the last minute when Arike tied the game 40-40 and Kalani Brown hit a jumpshot that put the Wings over the Phoenix Mercury 45-42.

The Wings then took their largest lead of the night in 4th quarter with 13 points.

UP NEXT- The Dallas Wings will hit the road to take on the New York Liberty Sunday at noon.
