SEATTLE, WA – The Dallas Cowboys will head to Seattle to take in the Seahawks (1-0) in their second preseason game of the year. The Cowboys (0-1) came up short to the Jacksonville Jaguars(1-0) last Saturday night. Even with the loss to Jacksonville there were still great things to be taken out of the game that everyone saw from the young players that had the opportunity to play in an NFL game.
Most of the starters did not play in Saturday’s 28-23 loss in AT&T Stadium for the Cowboys including QB Dak Prescott, Trevon Diggs, Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb, and Stephon Gilmore. Prescott did not see any reps in this game but the Jaguars starting QB Trevor Lawrence got to see early action in preseason, not looking the sharpest as he got picked off in the first drive of the game.
Seattle is coming off a win to the Minnesota Vikings and their QB Drew Lock had a great first game in Lumen field. Lock scored two touchdowns to bring his team to a 24-13 win over the Vikings. Most of the starters did not see the field including their starting QB Geno Smith and with Lock’s performance it looks like he might have secured his No. 2 spot in Seattle this season.
Things have been getting feisty in the final days of training camp for the Dallas Cowboys. It will be exciting to see if they can transfer that anger that they have into Saturday night’s game.
One thing Dallas needs to work on this Saturday is protecting the football. The Cowboys struggled protecting the football on Saturday and fumbled the ball twice. In both opportunities the Cowboy’s could have scored, changing the outcome of the game.
Kickoff is at 9 PM.
