FRISCO, TX – The Dallas Cowboys had a busy day in the front office as they constructed their 2023 NFL 53 man roster. The day consists of taking the 90 players they took to training camp and cutting it down to 53. It’s a rough day in the NFL for some, players get released and their dreams are cut short or altered. And for others their prayers get answered and they make the 53 man roster. A lot happened for the Cowboys today, here is a break down of all the transitions that occurred:

There are some key notes to take away from this roster:
There are 13 DB’s on the current roster and head coach Mike McCarthy is very pleased with how stacked his safety room is. “This is the deepest safety group that I can recall. That gives us a lot of flexibility.” McCarthy said.
With the return of Jourdan Lewis that gives Dallas six cornerbacks for the upcoming season. Lewis suffered a foot injury last October that led him to miss the rest of the season. He has been taking off the PUP list and is ready to practice.
